10 weeks and counting...

Little Finn is doing great! We're starting to settle into our new routine and I made it through a full work week! David is really doing well staying home 3 days a week and he seems to be really enjoying it and bonding with Finn. I am very jealous! They are going to come in to Hallmark today and visit me, so I am looking forward to that. Daycare is going well. We are adjusting to our new schedule quite nicely. I look forward to this weekend when I can be home with him for 2 days, even if it is snowy and nasty (I fell down t he front steps this morning!) I just had to put these cute little cowboy boots that my cousin sent me on him. They are so darn cute!

Back to work :(

Well, we made it through the last 2 days. It was sad to leave the little guy, but he is in good hands. Finn seems to be adjusting okay. He had a nice little schedule going, but he's been waking up in the middle of the night again for the past 2 nights. I read somewhere that breastfed babies who are away from their mom during the day will start to wake more often during the night. boo-hoo! I was really starting to enjoy those 11 hour nights :( Oh, well. Maybe after a bit more time he will re-adjust. I'm glad that I get to spend the weekends with him :)

Check out my little man

We bought this "Baby Bumbo" chair recently. It is designed to help Finn learn to sit up on his own. You can put the baby in it once he can hold his head up. We tried it out for the first time last night and I can't get over how adorable he is in his little chair. It really supports him and he seemed to really enjoy looked around.

2 Month Stats

Weight: 11 lbs. 15 oz.
Length: 23"

Dr. Flint was amazed by his strength. He's been holding his head and chest for quite a while now. She was happy to see his smiles and hear his coos, and even more surprised by the fact that he's already up to sleeping for 11 hours! She said that he's already showing signs of teething, which is a little early, so he may have teeth by 4 months. Yikes! And, she is expecting that he'll roll over any time in the coming months. He received 3 shots, which weren't too bad. He didn't like them, but wasn't fussy for too long. He's such a good little trooper!

Can you believe he's 2 months already?

I am so stunned by how fast time has gone by. Tomorrow is Finn's 2 month check up, and I can't believe it. I am so sad that my maternity leave will be ending this week. I really feel like it took us this long to establish our routine and for me to really get the "mommy" thing down. I am happy that we had the time to bond and get to know each other. If only I could have another 2 months. Finnley will be in good hands with Daddy and Mrs. Gail. I will truly be jealous that they get to see his little face all day while I am at work, but I already told David that he will just have to come and visit for lunches. As you can see in these pictures, his hair just keeps getting lighter and his eyes are so blue. AND!!!! the best news...last night he slept a full 10 hours! I will definitely post again tomorrow after his dr. appt. Boo hoo...shots, that won't be any fun :(

You all should buy stock in duracell batteries...

because I am keeping them in business. But with all of these smiles, I can't resist taking pictures of little Finny. I will miss those when I go back to work :(

Victory!

Well, I didn't want to jinx it, but we've had 3 nights where Finn has slept a solid 7 1/2 hours! Yay! I feel very well rested! He's also starting to smile quite a bit (but I'm finding it hard to capture them!). Although, as I type this I can hear him crying :( Better go feed him!
