Aunt Cindy and Uncle Tom's...

Finn spent the night at Aunt Cindy and Uncle Tom's on Friday night. (David and I slept in on Saturday morning...AMAZING!) I received this e-mail from Finn:

Hi mommy,

I just wanted to tell you that everything is fine over here. I made a new friend. He makes me laugh. I like to put his paws in my mouth and he likes to smell me. It's a good friendship. See you tomorrow!

Love, Finn

Payton

I got to spend some time with our friends, Marcy and Jairus' baby girl. Her name is Payton and she only 2 months old....so tiny! I can't even remember Finn that small already! Here we are hangin' out. She's pretty darn cute!

Pool Day

Finn and I spent Sunday with our friends at the pool in our neighborhood. We had a really great time. I swear he is trying to swim, he kicks his feet and splashes around the water. My friend, Marcy, took these adorable photos...

I did it!

It's short, but I'm super happy with it...what do you think?

A little photo shoot after dinner (mind the carrots under the nostrils) Ha!

Here's my baby cakes after dinner tonight.

Always on his tummy now, I think crawling won't be too far off. He's really working on it.

And this is his new BFF "turtle". Yes, he has stars and shells as hands and feet.

And just an update on favorite foods:

Oatmeal Cereal is definitely in the lead at #1. I think he's eaten an entire box this week. Sweet potatos are a close second and carrots are a new fav. Peas didn't go over so well and squash just didn't even get a second bite. I tried the peas myself, and I concur with Finn on this one. They are nasty! I think tomorrow we may try some green beans or maybe give squash a second chance. We'll see what we're in the mood for...

Also, I've made a hair appointment for Saturday morning. I think I'm gonna hack it all off for a new change. I hope that Finn will recognize me, but I am trying to focus on me for a little and maybe this will give me some joy. I'll post some pics when I'm done with it (unless it looks terrible) Wish me luck!

Mmmmmm.....Peas!

6 Month Check-In

Finnley had his 6 month check in. Everything is looking good. Here are the stats:

Weight: 16 ibs. 13 oz.

Length: 26 1/4"

Head: 17" (gotta fit that big, growing brain in).

Playing with Duncan

Now that we are home permanently, Finn is discovering so many new things and I have so much time to focus on my family. He is really interested in the pets, particularly Duncan. He watches Duncan and smiles at him all the time!

Like Father, like son...

Ah, summertime. In preperation for Father's Day, Finn needed to relax a little once we got back to Kansas.
