Almost 7 hours!
Finn slept almost 7 hours last night! I think we are definitely headed for the big sleep this upcoming week. Keep your fingers crossed that this becomes the norm!

Just the 3 of us
After almost 6 full weeks of grandparents staying with us, we are finally alone with Finn. He is doing really well and we are anticipating his "big sleep" (sleeping through the night). Hopefully, it will happen within the next couple of weeks. As for me, I am going to my 6 week check-in tomorrow morning. How time flies! I am feeling really great and having family here to help made my recovery that much easier. I almost have full feeling back in both my hands, but still can't get that darn wedding ring back on. Hopefully, my blood pressure will check out fine and I will continue to stop swelling. David is on vacation for the next 2 weeks and we've made several trips out of the house (finally). Soon, I will be going back to work :( Only 3 more weeks to spend with Finn...I really don't want to go.

Week 3 visitors
Finn has had so many visitors already. We were very sad to see Nani go, but David's parents are here to visit until the 19th, so we have not had to be alone yet. Finnley is growing every day and eating like the growing boy that he is. I can't get him to stop!
Aunt Cindy came to see us. She loves Finn and he misses her. We are going to go and visit with her soon.
Holly came by to take me to lunch. It was great to get out of the house!
And David's parents love holding Finn. He has enjoyed getting to know his Grams (babushka?)

Finnley's 2 week check-up
We went for Finn's 2 week check-in on December 26th. He is doing great! He has gained weight and the jaundice is doing much better. He now weighs 8.5 lbs and he is 21" long. Talk about a growing boy! As we near the end of week 3, it is apparent that he is gaining even more weight. His cheeks are chubbier and he is filling out his outfits. It's amazing how he is changing on a daily basis. As for me, I am still recovering, but doing much better. After several post visits to my OB, she decided to put me on blood pressure medication, because I just couldn't seem to keep it down. And I am feeling much better. They will continue to check on me, but my last visit showed considerable decrease in the numbers and she seemed happy with the progress the medicine was achieving. I will continue to take it for several more weeks to ensure that it stays down. David is doing really well and we are trying to get as much sleep as we can. Finnley likes to eat every 2-3 hours most nights, but we are taking turns changing diapers and putting him back to bed (now, if only David could feed him, too. I'd be in heaven!) Hope you all had a great New Year and have some time to come and visit. My mom has been here to help and David's parents will be here next week. We really enjoy the company! I can't believe it's almost been a month since Finn's birth! We'll keep you posted! (p.s. I have no idea why the above picture says it was taken on November 1st. I got a new camera for Christmas and I guess that I didn't change the settings. Ooops!)
week 2: Finn's 1st Christmas!
The Weedon family was able to make the trip to visit this year (all but my sister Tracy and her husband, Pete)(and my 2 nieces). Finnley got to meet his Aunt Kelly and Uncle Greg for the 1st time, and his aunt Cindy and Uncle Tom came over to spend the morning with us. He also met my dad (Popi) and my mom (Nani) has been here to help since he was born. Later in the evening we went over to Cindy and Tom's house for Christmas dinner and we had a lot of fun watching my Mom play the guitar hero that David received as a gift :) It was a great Christmas and we were lucky to have family here to spend it with us.
